How to Find Your Photographic Vision: The program presents the type of photos Cathy and Gordon take (wildlife and landscape), why they like to take them, what kind of problems need to be overcome to get the best results, and how they overcome them.

Bio: Award winning photojournalist Dean Krakel's work has appeared in National Geographic, Rolling Stone, National Wildlife, Outside, Time, Newsweek and Life magazines. His images of the Marlboro Man, photographed for the Leo Burnett Advertising Agency are famous worldwide.

Krakel is the author of three books, Season of the Elk, Downriver and Krakel's West.

Ron Ruhoff biography
I was born in Minneapolis, MN where my father and grandfather both were musicians in the Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra. They played viola and piano. I never took to learning to play music, but always loved being around the orchestra and music. I learned the classical repertoire very well.
My family moved to Denver, CO in 1952, where my father continued his symphony playing with the Denver Symphony.

MAY MEETING - MAY 12, 2010 - BERGEN PARK FIRE STATION - 7pm (6:30pm SOCIAL TIME) PRESENTER: BOB DEAN ON PHOTOGRAPHING AIR SHOWS

Bob Dean is a freelance nature and wildlife photographer. With his wife Nadine, he has been photographing the natural world for over 35 years. Their stock file has nearly 10,000 images ranging from Alaska to Australia to Europe.

They have published many images and articles in magazines and newsletters including F8 and Being There, Falcon and Wild Outdoor World. Bob was an assistant editor and featured photographer for First Light Monthly Newsletter for Nature Photographers for over three years.

Willie Gibson has been shooting throughout the US, Mexico, South America and Europe for over 30 years. He has established a reputation as a respected and recognized talent in architectural photography, and has created beautiful images for residential homebuilders, architects and designers, resorts and golf courses. Willie's images have won dozens of awards for major homebuilders across the country. Many of Willie's resort and lifestyle images have appeared in travel and leisure publications.

Title: Travels and photography in Iceland

A long time resident of Colorado, Steve Goodman has been photographing the world’s animals and birds for more than thirty years. And, horror of horrors, he still uses Minolta and Sony equipment. In real life he is a physician and biochemical geneticist at University of Colorado School of Medicine. His work can be seen on his own web site, at www.artworknetwork.com, and at the Reed Photo-Art Gallery at 833 Santa Fe, in Denver.

END OF YEAR PARTY - DECEMBER 9TH AT BEAU JO'S IN EVERGREEN

In lieu of our regular monthly meeting, we'll be wrapping up the end of another great year next Wednesday, December 9th at Beau Jo's in downtown Evergreen. Space is limited to the first 40 people to sign up and send in $14. The cost includes use of their private room, pizza buffet and unlimited non-alcoholic beverages.
