How to Join the Evergreen Camera Club
The Yahoo Group is the primary source of information for the club such as upcoming meetings, photography tips. To join the club get a Yahoo ID if you do not already have one, and request to join the Evergreen Camera Club. The Yahoo Group Site is by approval only, to keep the spammers out. When we receive your request for approval, we will mark your Yahoo ID as a member of the club. Then you will get notification of meetings, etc...
Monthly Meetings
Our monthly meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month. We will often have a guest speaker talk about their photographic techniques, and show us some of their work. We will also review the latest monthly photo contest and the winners are selected. The meetings are a good opportunity to get together to discuss ideas and critique each others work.
Monthly Photo Contests
Each month we have a theme for our photography and at the following monthly meeting members can submit their photos. There are two categories, one for beginners, and one for advanced photographers. Photos are critiqued by either the group or our guest speaker. Winners are announced and recognition given.
Mentoring
On the fourth Tuesday of each month we have a learning meeting. In these meetings we generally break up into small groups and go over in detail whatever the group wishes to discuss. Bring your questions with you and an open mind. You are sure to learn something.
Field Trips
Every so often we will offer field trips, so we can get out and enjoy a few hours photographing together as a group. We can learn from each other, and improve our photography.
