GENE TEWKSBURY will be speaking on travel photography. Gene says:
My presentation's focus is on the hows/whys of travel photography (Asia specific).
Topics like dealing with cultural issues, finding unique photos, using an editorial method, how to get natural/candid imagery from locals, working with local fixers, avoiding legal trouble, things like that.
Photography instruction would be focused on working with the environment to your advantage and if asked, questions from the audience about how a particular image was captured.
The Evergreen Camera Club has the exhibition wall in the Evergreen Library reserved for displaying our photographs in the month of October. This is a large space, and can easily hold 60-100 photos, depending on size and arrangement, so there is room for EVERYONE to show some of their work.
